Mor Fest NYC 2026 | Five Day Irish Festival at Tara Mor

August 19, 2026 11:00 AM until August 23, 2026 11:30 PM

Mor Fest NYC 2026: Five Days of Irish Music, Sport, Comedy and Food at Tara Mor

Tara Mor is one NYC's most notable Irish Bars and New York has more than 2.1 million residents of Irish descent, one of the largest Irish communities anywhere outside Ireland. Mor Fest is the city's first fully Irish festival, five days of music, sport, comedy, wellness and food at Tara Mor, 150 West 30th Street in Midtown, two minutes from Penn Station and one block from Madison Square Garden. It takes place Wednesday August 19 to Sunday August 23, 2026, and every act on the bill, every vendor trading, every drink poured and every plate served is Irish.

What is Mor Fest

Mor Fest brings together the pieces of Irish culture that usually live in separate corners of the city. New York's Irish calendar has one off gigs, single day parades and scattered trad nights. Mor Fest puts a full week of it under one roof, from a community networking breakfast to live music, comedy, sport panels, wellness sessions and a market of Irish food and drink producers.

We are hosting it at Tara Mor because this building already works as an Irish gathering point. We have been the jersey sponsor of the Manhattan Gaels since 2024, we are where NYC  where NYC watches GAA football and hurling live with the sound on, and our rooms are set up for a main stage, smaller sessions and panel talks running at the same time. Kevin Doherty, our Donegal native host, leads the team on the ground for he week.

Getting to Mor Fest near Penn Station and MSG

Tara Mor sits at 150 West 30th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. Penn Station is a two minute walk, which puts the festival one train ride from New Jersey, Long Island and the Hudson Valley as well as the full subway network. The 1, 2, 3, A, C and E trains all stop at 34th Street Penn Station. Madison Square Garden is one block away, so an August concert at the Garden and a festival session in the same evening is a short walk, not a plan.

Food and drink at Mor Fest

Irish food and drink producers trade on site across the week, so the festival doubles as a tasting of what Ireland exports at the moment. Our own kitchen serves through the festival, including the Spice Bag and our full Irish breakfast menu. The Guinness is poured properly, settled and topped, the same standard the Guinness Perfect Pour Competition will judge on Sunday.

Our sister bar Tara Rose on 3rd Avenue in Murray Hill carries the group's other side, an all day cafe and cocktail bar with an underground speakeasy available for private hire with no venue fee. If your group wants a private room during festival week, that is the space to ask about.Tickets through Eventbrite,
