Irish Festival NYC | Mor Fest at Tara Mor, Aug 19 to 23
Mor Fest is New York's first fully Irish festival: five days of music, sport, comedy and food
Mor Fest: New York's First Fully Irish Festival, This August at Tara Mor
There are 2.1 million people of Irish descent in New York, and until now the city's Irish calendar has offered them a parade in March and not much else built at scale. Mor Fest is the answer: five days of Irish music, sport, comedy, wellness and food, August 19 to 23, 2026, at Tara Mor in Midtown Manhattan, two minutes from Penn Station. Every act on the bill, every vendor at the market, every drink poured and every plate served is Irish.
A proper Irish celebration in NYC
St Patrick's Day shows New York a version of Ireland filtered through green hats. Mor Fest shows the real thing: the music being made in Ireland now, the food producers exporting from it, the comedy and storytelling that fill its rooms, and the sport that organises its summers. The festival was built for the Irish community in New York and for anyone curious about what Ireland actually looks like in 2026.
It runs across five days under one roof, with doors from noon to midnight daily. Trad sessions sit alongside touring Irish acts, sports panels run before comedy nights, and a market of Irish food and drink brands, including McDaids and The Muff Liquor Company, trades through the week. Two competitions anchor the bar itself: bartenders go head to head in a Guinness pouring competition and an Irish coffee competition, judged on the standards Ireland takes seriously.
The lineup is announced soon on our Instagram and at morfestnyc.com. Ticket holders use the Shift app to pick the sessions, gigs and panels they want across the week.
Mor Fest tickets and prices
Two ticket types are on sale now through Eventbrite, and both cover the full five days.
General admission is $50 plus booking fee, $55.20 all in, with sales open until the final day of the festival.
VIP is $250 plus booking fee, $268.61 all in, and comes with an open bar across the whole week plus early access to events. VIP sales close on August 19, the day the festival opens, so the window is shorter.
The festival is 21 plus and a valid government photo ID is required at the door. Capacity in each room is limited and tickets are required for entry, so booking ahead is the reliable way in for the music, panel and evening sessions. Tickets are non refundable.
For the full day by day breakdown, see the Mor Fest 2026 schedule and event details.
Why Tara Mor is hosting
A fully Irish festival needs a home that already works as one. We have been the jersey sponsor of the Manhattan Gaels since 2024, we are where NYC watches GAA football and hurling live with the sound on, and the full Irish breakfast and the Spice Bag come out of our kitchen every week of the year. Kevin Doherty, our Donegal native host, has been working toward this festival for over seven years, and he leads the team on the ground across the five days.
The building suits the format. A main stage, smaller session rooms and panel spaces run at the same time, so an afternoon can move from a tasting to a talk to a gig without leaving the address.
Getting to Mor Fest
Tara Mor is at 150 West 30th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. Penn Station is a two minute walk, which puts the festival one train from New Jersey, Long Island and the Hudson Valley, and the 1, 2, 3, A, C and E all stop at 34th Street. Madison Square Garden is one block away. For anyone visiting New York in August, there is no easier festival commute in the city.
